Standalone novels aren’t without their charms, but nothing beats a decent book series.
There’s something delightful about wondering what might happen next, or watching characters grow as a story arc develops over the course of a couple of books.
As a self-confessed bookworm, I’ve been known to tear through a series in a number of days. In fact, The Hunger Games trilogy took me about 72 hours to devour: That’s including the breaks I took to sleep, eat and wash, obviously.
With that in mind, I decided to dedicated this weekend’s book blog (and vlog) to some of my favourite YA book series of all time.
From Malorie Blackman to Libba Bray, Philip Pullman to Anthony Horowitz, there are plenty of brilliant authors to appreciate. Their tales are often classed as children’s or teenage literature in some bookshops, but they’re not just for kids.
These stories have given me many hours of joy and I hope they do the same for you too.
Until next time, happy reading.
